Gulkand Paneer Kheer is a delectable, aromatic Indian dessert. This flavorful pudding is made with cottage cheese , milk and dry fruits. Here, i have used Homemade Gulkand - Rose Petal Jam which acts both as a flavouring agent and a sweetener. As no other sweetener is added to the kheer, it is relatively guilt-free. Gulkand Paneer kheer is one of the easiest desserts that can be made in a jiffy and served both hot or chilled.Can be made on special occasions or festivals or just to satisfy some sweet cravings. This serves as an ideal fasting food as well.

Servings: 3-4
Ingredients:
- 2 cup full cream milk, boiled
- 1/2 cup crumbled paneer /cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoon Gulkand / Rose Petal Jam ( click on the highlighted words for the recipe)
- 2 tablespoon raisins
- 2 tablespoon cashew nuts
- 2 tablespoon pistachio
- 2 tablespoon dried rose petals
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Method:
- In a wok heat ghee on low medium flame. Add the raisins and cashew nuts to it and fry for a minute or so. Add full cream milk to it and allow the milk to boil. Now simmer and let it cook for 7-10 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally.
2. Add grated paneer and gulkand to the reduced milk. Stir well and allow it to cook for another 3-5 minutes. The kheer will thicken and get beautiful color and aroma due to the added gulkand.
3.Once the kheer is creamy and of the desired consistency, put off the flame. Add cardamom powder and garnish the kheer with chopped pistachio and dried rose petals. Serve warm or chilled.
