Beat the heat this summer with a creamy, fruity and delectable Strawberry Rose Lassi. This refreshing and cooling drink is loaded with healthy goodness of strawberries and yogurt, has rose flavors coming from the homemade rose syrup and is sweetened with homemade rose petal jam / gulkand. With a baby pink color and pistachio and dried rose petal garnishing, Strawberry rose lassi is very appealing. This no-cook dessert is ready under 10 minutes and can be served at breakfast table, as an after-school treat or on a lazy Summer afternoon to brighten up your mood.
Preparation Time: 5-7 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Serves: 2 tall glasses
Ingredients:
- 1 cup curd
- 8-10 strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 2 tablespoon rose syrup
- 1/2 cup cream
- 2 teaspoon rose petal jam/ gulkand
- 1 tablespoon pistachio slivers and dried rose petals for garnishing (optional)
Method:
- Take all the ingredients in a blender jar and pulse until smooth. Add up to 1/2 cup drinking water or milk and pulse again to adjust the desired consistency.
2. Serve the delectable and oh so pretty Strawberry Rose Lassi chilled and enjoy !
Recipe Notes:
- Honey may be used as a sweetener in this recipe if you do not have rose petal jam handy.
- I have used homemade milk cream, you may use store bought as well.
- You may keep the lassi plain or garnish it with any nuts of your choice.
